Bluetooth Setup Instructions

For mPhone on Pocket LOOX

with SonyEricsson T68i

 

1. Setup Pocket LOOX's Bluetooth device driver

2. Initialize Bluetooth connection between LOOX and T68

3. Configure mPhone with Bluetooth port

4. Phonebook Download/Upload

5. SMS Sending/Receiving

6. Upload Picture to T68

7. Upload Ringtone/Melody to T68

1. Setup Pocket LOOX's Bluetooth device driver

a) First, we must initialize the Pocket LOOX's Bluetooth device driver. On LOOX, tap Start button and select Programs menu item, you will see the LX Plugfree program icon on the screen. Tap the icon to launch it. Then follow its prompt to complete the setup.

b) Tap Next button. Enter the Bluetooth hardware testing phase. Before you tap the Test button to start the testing, please ensure you have switched on the Bluetooth trigger on LOOX. This trigger is on the right side of LOOX (see below figure).

c) The next screen lists all available services Pocket LOOX can provide via Bluetooth. Please check the option "Access Serial Ports", then tap the Next button.

d) Now the setup will prompt you to setup the shared folders for Bluetooth services. Just tap the No button to skip it.

e) Now the device driver setup is finished. Tap the Yes button on the message box dialog to do the soft-reset.


2. Initialize Bluetooth connection between LOOX and T68

a) Prepare on mobile phone (turn it into discoverable mode)

Note: please note that the Bluetooth indicator includes a small arrow which indicates the discoverable mode.

b) Search for the mobile phone

c) Paring

On LOOX side, please tap the "Serial Port 1"

Now, press the Yes button on T68

Prompt you to enter the passkey. 

Enter any passkey on T68 then press Yes button.

Press Yes button

On LOOX side, you will be prompted to input the passkey which is what you just entered on your T68.

 


3. Configure mPhone with Bluetooth port

Note:

Because R520 and R600 uses the same protocols as T68, so if you are using R520 or R600, you can select Ericsson T39/T68 as the model too.

 

Please note the "Connected" indicator.


4. Phonebook download

This is why we call mPhone is the "TRUE" synchronization software for mobile phones on Pocket PC.

Now the phonebook on T68 has been downloaded to LOOX. Tap the number field of entry stored in phone, a small popup window shows all telephone numbers under the entry name.
