Bluetooth Setup Instructions

For mPhone on iPAQ 3870

with SonyEricsson T68i

1. Activate iPAQ's Bluetooth device

2. Initialize Bluetooth connection between iPAQ and T68

3. Configure mPhone with Bluetooth port

4. Phonebook Download/Upload

5. SMS Sending/Receiving

6. Upload Picture to T68

7. Upload Ringtone/Melody to T68

8. Dialing

1. Activate iPAQ's Bluetooth device

First, we must turn on the iPAQ Bluetooth device. Go Today screen, check the BlueManager's icon on the bottom screen. If the icon is gray. Double-Click on the icon to turn it on. If the Bluetooth device is ON state, tap the icon and a menu item will pop up.

2. Initialize Bluetooth connection between iPAQ and T68

a) Prepare on mobile phone (turn it into discoverable mode)

Note: please note that the Bluetooth indicator includes a small arrow which indicates the discoverable mode.

b) Now tap Bluetooth Manager menu item in the pop menu

Now it is searching for Bluetooth devices.	Hey, found the T68. Check the option, then tap Save button.
Tap OK button.	Now T68 has been added to the device list.

c) Paring

Now tap the T68's icon, the screen will show this device's information.

Now on T68 mobile phone.

Tap the Create bond with this device menu item in Action menu. You will be prompted to input the passkey which is what you just entered on your T68. Tap OK button and back to T68 side.

Now, press the Yes button on T68	Prompt you to enter the passkey.
Enter any passkey on T68 then press Yes button.	Press Yes button

Now the T68 has been paired with iPAQ. At last, re-direct the bonded bluetooth device to Dial up Modem port BTC1: .

3. Configure mPhone with Bluetooth port

		Note: Because R520 and R600 uses the same protocols as T68, so if you are using R520 or R600, you can select Ericsson T39/T68 as the model too.
		Please note the "Connected" indicator.
