Bluetooth Setup Instructions
For mPhone on iPAQ 5450
with Nokia 6310/6310i
1. Activate iPAQ's Bluetooth device
2. Initialize Bluetooth connection between iPAQ and Nokia 6310/6310i
3. Install mPhone onto iPAQ 5450
4. Configure mPhone with Bluetooth port

Note:
This setup instruction also works on all Pocket PCs with Bluetooth devices using Widcomm's "Bluetooth for Windows CE" 1.3.x . These bluetooth devices include Billionton, Brainboxes, CC&C, FIC, Fujitsu Media, Philips CF cards.
And, because Nokia 8910 use the same protocol as 6310/6310i, so this instruction is also working for Nokia 8910.
1. Activate iPAQ's Bluetooth device
First, we must turn on the iPAQ Bluetooth device. Go Today screen, check the BlueManager's icon on the bottom screen. If the icon is marked with closed flag, please tap on the icon to activate Bluetooth Settings window, then tap the "Turn on" button to turn it on. If the Bluetooth device is ON state, tap the "Bluetooth Manager" hyper-link and the Bluetooth Manager window will be displayed.

Tap "Turn on" button to switch it on. |
Now Bluetooth is ON. |
2. Initialize Bluetooth connection between iPAQ and Nokia 6310/6310i
a) Prepare on mobile phone, Step 1, turn on Bluetooth on Nokia 6310/6310i
Select Bluetooth menu. |
Current status is Off. |

Note: please note that the Bluetooth indicator includes a small arrow which indicates the discoverable mode.
b) Prepare on mobile phone, Step 2, turn it into discoverable mode. In fact, this mode is the default mode on Nokia mobile phone.

Note: If you did not turn it into discoverable mode, Bluetooth Manager will not see your phone in the following setup wizard.
c) Now start Bluetooth Manager
Now we are ready to setup for Bluetooth devices with setup Wizard. |
Well, nice wizard. Tap the scrollbar to find the "Partner with a cell phone" Wizard type. |
Tap Next button. |
Just tap Next button again. |
Tap Next button. |
Tap the "Question Mark" icon to serach the mobile phone. |
d) Pairing
Now Bluetooth complete the search and list the phone on the screen. Tap the phone's icon, Bluetooth Manager will discover the services on the mobile phone and create the properly services and communication ports on your Pocket PC.

Double-Click the Nokia 6310 COM1 icon, Bluetooth Manger will start the pairing between iPAQ and 6310.

Now, press the Accept on 6310 |
Prompt you to enter the passkey. |
Enter the passkey you entered on iPAQ then select OK button. |
Now paired and connected |
To avoid the phone asking you everytime the iPAQ connects to the phone, you can follow these steps to set the option:
Under Bluetooth menu, select "View paired devices" sub-menu |
Select your iPAQ, press "Options" button |

Scroll to "Request conn. authorisation" item, tap Select button. |
Select "No" item, then press Select. |
Done. |
Now the 6310 has been paired and connected with iPAQ. At last, tap the COM1 icon and hold down for a second, in the popup menu, select Disconnect menu .

Now, the BTC1: and COM8: ports has been created on your iPAQ and be associated with the Nokia 6310 phone. Because 6310 only allows one Bluetooth connection in the same time, and iPAQ 5450's Bluetooth Manager will popup a window to prompt user selecting the device everytime the program want to open the COM8: port (be mapped COM1 service on 6310). So we strongly recommend you select BTC1: as the port in mPhone program.
