FAQ of CE-Star Suite 2.8 for WM5
A: What's the limit of trial version?
Q: Trial version only allows you use 10 minutes for Chinese keyboard input and 50 characters for
handwriting recognition. And the trial version has 15 days trial period.
A: What's difference of Suite and Standard version?
Q: The Suite version contains Chinese handwriting recognition. Standard version does not contain it.
A: How to register?
Q: Once you buy the product on our website, we will issue you the order number immediately and send the order confirmation email with the order number via email. And the email also describes how to register with the order number on your device. If you did not receive the email, perhaps your mail server blocked our emails or you entered the incorrect email address.
Please read Register Step by Step for the details about how to register with the order number.
If you can not finish the instant register and select the registering on the website, then you will receive the registration code via email in real time. The below steps describe the detailed steps of register manually with the registration code.
Please follow these steps to activate the trial software into registered version with the registration code:
1. Make sure your device's owner name is set. If not, please set it in Start->Settings->Owner first. And please note that this setting is case-sensitive.
2. Launch CE-Star
3. Tap the CE-Star icon on Today screen
4. Tap Register menu item in the popup menu
5. Enter the registration code in the key field
6. Tap Register button to register
7. Tap OK button to close CE-Star
8. Re-launch CE-Star, check the popup menu, if the register menu item is still existing, the registration was failure
A: Where's the dictionary? I don't find it after installation.
Q: CE-Star's installation package does not contain dictionary. please download PkDict in
CE-Star download page.
A: My desktop Windows can not read Chinese files created on Pocket PC.
Q: For English Windows 2000/XP, please go Control Panel=>
Regional and Language Settings=>Advanced, then change the setting in
"Language for non-Unicode programs" to "Chinese (Taiwan)" or
"Chinese (Hong Kong)" for Traditional Chinese, or "Chinese (PRC)"
for Simplified Chinese.
Then press OK button apply the change. This change may ask you to restart your Windows.
A: Why no response after tap CE-Star to launch it?
Q: After you tapped the CE-Star icon in start menu or in Programs, it started then display a
small icon on the right-bottom of the Today screen. Switch to Today screen, you will see the icon.
A: I am using O2 Atom, but I can not use the soft keypad.
Q: Please upgrade CE-Star to 2.8 R2. This new version has fixed this issue.
A: Line-breaking error in Chinese paragraph in IE or HTML control.
Q: Please check the option 'IE Auto-Wrap' in CE-Star's option dialog then click OK button to apply the change. If you launched IE before you change the option, please stop IE first with Task Manager software. Please note that change this option will affect the some English UI text display in some applications. This function is available since version 2.8 R1a.
